The movie trailers of TRANSFORMERS 2: Revenge of the Fallen are already out. ( See: http://www.transformersmovie.com/upgrade_flash.html)
So here at productionillustration.com headquarters in Hollywood, California, we are now starting to reveal some of the highly anticipated TRANSFORMERS art and conceptual designs created when Patrick Janicke was working directly for Michael Bay at Bay Films in late 2007.
Patrick Janicke ( from an interview): "Michael (Bay) saw my portfolio and liked the large pencil drawings of battle fields I did for (the movie) FINAL FANTASY-The Spirits Within which I did over ten years prior, before everyone was using Photoshop, the end of the last millenium, when people still drew by hand expressing individual style. So even though most people in the Transformers 2 art department where painting using computers I did these analog drawings by pencil and later colored them with inks, like back in the days of BATMAN & ROBIN. It was fun."
